Half of the fun of this game is discovering new combinations.īesides, even with those guides there is no guarantee you will win. There are guides by now talking about what does what, including strategies to get through each act, but I feel like the best way to find these combinations is by yourself. There are a ton of unique ones out there. Card Combinations are Key to VictoryĪs you increase your camp’s size and unlock cards you will find more card combinations. You will most likely spend a fair bit of time trying to optimize your camp to help you. The meta-progression of this game is really important. As each class has different equipment slots, buffs and resistances, and stats they want. The Rogue, which instead of finding gear trades trophies at the campfire for them, and the Necromancer, who summons skeletons to help in battle. These two buildings unlock new classes you can choose for the hero. There are two buildings of special note to talk about, the Refuge and the Cemetery. Other buildings will unlock cards that you can add to your deck. The gymnasium unlocks the ability for the hero to level up and gain special perks. The blacksmith allows you to start with basic gear. The herbalist hut unlocks healing potions that you will take with you. These buildings all do something to aid you on your runs. As the game progresses you can construct more buildings in camp. Whether the hero lives or dies, they will bring resources back to their camp. It also has two secret bosses you can spawn if you want a real challenge. The game currently has four bosses you must fight. The end goal is to play enough cards to spawn the boss of that act. ![]() It is very easy to create the loop too strong as every card you play changes stats or generates more monsters. As the loop number increases so does the power of the monsters they fight and the strength of the gear they find. This is done by playing cards from your deck in the black space surrounding the road your hero loops on. Instead of playing as the savior character directly, it is the player’s job to build dungeon loops for the character to fight and get stronger. This one of those games that is easy to learn but hard to master. The main game play is simple, in concept anyway. All in hopes of restoring what the world that was lost. Your attempts to save the world end up with you fighting God themselves. The character later finds out that there is more to it than that. Your goal at the start of the game is to defeat the Lich, a skull headed creature you believe to be responsible for the world’s destruction. And seem to be able to remember things back into existence. The story of the game is that the world has been turned to black void. When I first saw the trailer for this I was excited to try it out. Where you create a dungeon loop for your hero to run. ![]() Loop Hero is a rogue like and deck-building game. Or if not at least avenging its destruction. You stand as the sole survivor capable or saving the world.
